Thank you for visiting my blog: Little Scraps of Wisdom. My name is Dave Plesac and these are my thoughts about life and my philosophy of the world. I enjoy reflecting on my own life and its events and contemplating not only what I have done, but what the future holds. This blog is not so much a destination as it is a journey–a journey that little by little, “scrap by scrap”, myself and my readers can come to a better understanding of our place in this world.
I was born in Northwest Indiana and still reside there. I graduated from Indiana University in 1991 and spent the early part of my career being part of the rat race while working in Chicago at the CBOT. I decided on a career change in my late ’30s and worked on getting my teacher’s license, making my father proud, as he spent 35 years in the field of education. I am entering my 10th year now and I’m currently an administrator at a local school. I have a wife of 24 years and 2 children. I have had the good fortune of being able to travel our great nation on several occasions, having taken two month long excursions throughout “the West” with my family, including my father. I am currently writing a book about the experience.
This is me at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.
Please feel free to comment. I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you.
